The American Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AMCHAM) said Friday that it has picked William Oberlin as its new chairman.
Oberlin is president of Boeing Korea and has headed the aircraft company's Seoul office since 2002. He was AMCHAM chairman in 2003 and 2004.
The chamber, founded in 1953, is dedicated to facilitating trade and commerce between South Korea and the United States. It counts over 1,000 companies as its members.
Oberlin's tenure begins on Jan. 1.
