[Photo] Mini electric car a hit for online shoppers

E-commerce company Timon announced on Jan.22 that it will begin a second round of booking orders for the Danigo mini electric car manufactured by Daechang Motors. Timon began its initial round of 100 sales for the vehicle on Dec. 10, later expanding this to an additional 200 units, which sold out in just one day. The second round of sales will take place from April, with a 100,000 won (US$93) down payment required. The full price of the Danigo vehicles is just under 15 million won ($13,950), but the cost to consumers decreases to between 5.4 million and 7.9 million ($5000 to $7350) once national and local government subsidies are included.
