The Hyundai Motor Group announced on June 20 that a partnership between Hyundai Motors and Audi AG, member of the Volkswagen Group, was formed in regard to hydroelectric vehicles. Audi AG currently heads research and development in hydroelectric cars for the Volkswagen Group. Having revealed its hydroelectric car, the Audi h-tron quattro, at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, Audi AG announced its plans to put hydroelectric cars on the market by 2020.
