Hyundai Motor signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Swiss hydrogen energy firm H2E in Hannover, Germany, on Sept. 19. Hyundai agreed to sell 1,000 hydrogen-powered trucks from H2E in Switzerland over the next five years. The trucks will be a version of the current Xcent model that has been redeveloped to meet Swiss legal regulations. They will run on two hydroelectric engines that form a 190kw fuel cell system. The same engines are already being used in the crossover SUV model Nexo.
