LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo has entered the final phase of his succession of the conglomerate by becoming the largest shareholder of the group’s holding company LG. The adopted son of late former Chairman Koo Bon-moo, Koo will inherit the shares of along with two step-siblings. The inheritance tax to be paid by the three siblings is expected to amount to 900 billion won (US$805 million). Koo Kwang-mo is expected to inherit 8.8 percent of the LG shares while his stepsisters Koo Yeon-kyung and Koo Yeon-soo are to inherited 2 percent and 0.5 percent, respectively. (provided by LG)
