Blue Bottle Coffee, an American specialty roaster with cafes in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York and Japan, is set to launch its second international campaign by opening a café in South Korea. Based in Oakland, California, and dubbed by many as the “Apple” of the coffee industry, Blue Bottle Coffee first entered the international market in 2015 by opening a branch in Japan. The roaster announced in a press release on Nov. 7 that the company’s first South Korean branch is expected to open in the Seongsu neighborhood of Seoul, an area commonly referred to as the “South Korea’s Brooklyn,” during the second quarter of next year.
