A test launch of a rocket engine developed entirely in South Korea on Nov. 28 went successfully. The 75-ton engine was launched from the Naro Space Center in Goheung, South Jeolla Province. The Ministry of Science and ICT announced that rocket flew for 10 minutes, with the engine maintaining combustion for 151 seconds, reaching an altitude of 209km. The test launch made South Korea the seventh nation in the world to successfully launch a 75-ton rocket engine.
