After struggling to penetrate the Chinese market, Samsung Electronics has announced that it will shut down its mobile phone manufacturing plant in Tianjin by the end of this month. Samsung has failed to compete with domestic competitors like Huawei. The company indicated that it will continue operating its other Chinese plant in Huizhou, Guangdong Province. Samsung is currently in a move to relocate its production plants to places with cheaper labor costs such as Vietnam and India.
