The South Korean Fair Trade Commission (FTC) has fined Nissan Motor Company and Nissan Korea 900 million won (US$802,103) for deceptive advertising regarding the fuel efficiency and exhaust emissions of its vehicles. This is shortly after Toyota was fined by the FTC for deceptive advertising based on their vehicles’ safety standards. The company advertised the fuel efficiency of their Infiniti Q50 2.2D model as getting 15.1km per liter when it was actually 14.6km per liter.
