The Hyundai Motor Group announced on Mar. 4 that it has developed a smartphone-based car key that allows drivers to open and lock their car doors and start the engine without a separate key. The new digital key will be applied to the eight generation Sonata model. The new key uses near field communication (NFC) technology and can be shared with multiple persons, up to four people including the driver. (provided by the Hyundai Motor)
