[Photo] Moon and Malaysian prime minister agree to work on FTA

During a state visit to Malaysia, South Korean President Moon Jae-in held a summit with Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad on Mar. 13. The two leaders discussed Malaysia’s East Asia policy and the Moon administration’s New Southern Policy, agreeing to cooperate on a people-centered regime of mutual peace and prosperity. They also agreed to work on a South Korea-Malaysia FTA in this year and to cooperate on measures that would increase North Korea’s interaction with ASEAN and the international community.
