Over 10,000 imported cars from makers like BMW, Volkswagen, and Honda are being recalled from the South Korean market because of defects. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport (MOLIT) announced on May 5 that 58 models of cars from six companies, totaling 11,513, are being recalled. Defects such as corroded battery cables and overheating heaters were cited as the reason for the recall. Last year, BMW vehicles were recalled after several caught on fire during driving.
