The first hydroelectric city bus in South Korea went into circulation in Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province, on June 6. The bus is capable of traveling 450km on a single charge, with a top speed of 92km per hour. The bus has a max capacity of 45 persons (including the driver). The city plans on putting a total of five hydroelectric buses into its public transportation network by the end of June. The cities of Gwangju (6), Ulsan (3), Seoul (7), Busan (5), Seosan (5), and Asan (4) are also planning to follow suit by adding hydroelectric cars into public circulation by the end of this year.
