A consortium led by the Korea Airports Corporation (KAC) will oversee construction and operation of the Chincero International Airport, which will serve as the new gateway for the UNESCO World Heritage site Machu Picchu. The South Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transportation announced on Oct. 25 that it had signed an agreement with the Peruvian government naming the consortium as the project management office (PMO) of the new airport. The agreement stipulates t
