[Photo] Samsung to release Galaxy Fold in China on Nov. 8

Samsung Electronics is looking to increase its presence among Chinese consumers with the release of its Galaxy Fold. Set to go on sale in the Chinese market in Nov. 8, the Galaxy Fold will compete with Huawei’s first foldable smartphone, the Mate X, which is set to be released on Nov. 15. Considering Samsung’s share of the Chinese smartphone market is less than 1%, the Galaxy Fold’s success is crucial. While foldable phones are in their early stages, their importance in the smartphone industry is likely to increase as consumers become more familiar with the technology.
