There is an old saying that the downfall of progressives is through internal division, while the downfall of conservatives is through corruption. The Uri Party was trying to run away from its reformist ideals, and the Grand National Party (GNP) was trying to run away from its old establishment image. When their two vehicles collide, however, all the recent corruption seen in the GNP does not seem to cause any damage. (Hankyoreh Geurimpan 3 June 2006)
