Two monsters are upon us

Goemul (Monster, English title: "The Host") is a Korean film doing very well in its first few days at the box office; in its plot, a monster emerges in the Han River following covert pollution by the U.S. military.

But already, a second - and real - monster is upon Korea, in the form of the clean-up costs of returned U.S. bases, passed on to Korea after poorly managed negotiations with the U.S. Forces Korea. This additional monster springs up from a polluted U.S. military facility.
