National Assembly legislator Choi Yeon-hee, who once worked as part of the "public security" apparatus during the dictatorship years, recently dropped out of the Grand National Party and removed himself from public view after he publicly fondled the breasts of a female Dong-A Ilbo reporter.

In a recent statement, the Grand National Party seemed to take a positive view of the military coup in Thailand.

Now it appears that Choi wants to return to politics, and he arrives on the scene having run right over public criticism of his sexual assault.

Looking at the Grand National Party spokesman, he says, "Coups are no big deal."
