Remembering a son

Lee So-seon, mother of the late Chun Tae-il, who immolated himself in protest of the goverment’s negligence of worker’s rights during the Park Chung Hee regime, lights ceremonial incense at a cemetary in Gyeonggi Province on November 13, the 36th anniversary of her son’s death. Chun’s death attracted major public attention on the poor working conditions at the time.
