Survey shows photographers hold the highest job satisfaction, fashion models the lowest

Photographers were found to be persons happiest with their jobs, while fashion models were the least satisfied with their occupations.

These are results of a survey conducted by the state-run Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training (KRIVET) against 4,343 persons engaged in 170 different occupations. The findings were published by KRIVET on November 21.

According to the study, photographers showed the strongest level of satisfaction, with an average score of 4.6 points on a scale of one to five, followed by literary authors, who scored 4.48, aircraft pilots at 4.45, music composers at 4.44, and bartenders at 4.36.

In contrast, fashion models were found to be the unhappiest with their jobs, scoring an average 2.25 points. Doctors proved to be the second-most dissatisfied with their occupation, with a score of 2.8 points on average.

Others expressing dissatisfaction with their jobs were truck drivers, jewelry craftsmen, hairdressers for pets, professional gamers, computer programmers, singers, database managers, and computer engineering technicians.


Other satisfied workers included consultants, liberal arts professors, members of the clergy, and researchers in the social sciences.

In the meantime, as far as job stress, investment analysts were discovered to suffer the most, fashion models the least.
