A scene from the closing ceremony of the Angkor-Gyeongju World Culture Expo on January 9, held at the major temple complex of Angkor Wat, located in Siem Reap, Cambodia. During the event, Korean and Cambodian actors, dancers, and Buddhist monks performed a requium for the victims of Korea’s Gwangju massacre in 1980 and Cambodia’s murderous Khmer Rouge regime, in power from 1975-1979. The expo was co-hosted by North Gyeonsang Province, Korea, and the Cambodian government, and lasted from November 21 of last year to January 9 of this year.
