South Korean Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha led a group of about 200 ambassadors and business leaders to survey the site of the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics. Riding with reporters on the newly constructed KTX Gyeonggang line, Kang responded to the likelihood of North Korean participation in the Olympics by saying that, “I think that North Korea has the will to contribute and take responsibility [for a successful Olympics.]” The group visited the ice hockey rink and the speed skating rink in the city of Gangneung, Gangwon Province.
