Photo] Make a special catch at the January Hwacheon Mountain Trout Ice Festival

South Korea’s premier winter festival, the Hwacheon Sancheoneo (Mountain Trout) Ice Festival will take place from Jan. 6-28 at Hwacheon County in Gangwon Province. Visitors will be able to take part in a variety of activities, including bare-handed fishing, ice fishing, sledding, and ice soccer. There will also be an ice sculpture square, crafts studio, and Hwacheon ecological film center. This year’s festival promises to be especially interesting as it will happen during the lead-up to the Pyeongchang Olympics.
