[Photo] Artist creates likenesses of famous people from dead leaves

Artist Kim Mi-hwung has opened an exhibit entitled, “My Future” at an art gallery at the back of the Yun Posun house in the Anguk district of Seoul (Yun was a Korean independence activist who served as president of South Korea from 1960-1962). The exhibition features likenesses of famous individuals including Che Guevara and Vincent Van Gogh made from dead leaves, dragonfly wings, cicadas, and plant matter. “In looking at these leaves, I saw Buddha, Jesus…I look at death and come face-to-face with my future.”
