[Photo] A contemporary circus festival closer to the ordinary

The 2018 Seoul Circus Festival, Circus Cabaret, was held on May 13 at Mapo Oil Tank Culture Park. The origins of the modern circus date back to 1768, when an English equestrian named Philip Astley performed in an open field at what is now known as Waterloo. The event was organized by the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the birth of the modern circus.
