[Photo] BTS to receive Order of Cultural Merit

The globally famous K-pop group BTS is set to receive the Order of Cultural of Merit from the Korean government. On Oct. 8, Blue House Spokesperson Kim Eui-kyum announced that South Korean President Moon Jae-in has decided to award the medal to both BTS and the actor Lee Sun-jae for developing Korean culture and propagating it on a global scale. The medal is divided into five levels; Lee is set to receive Level 2, while BTS will be awarded Level 5. The above photo shows BTS in a speech before the UN General Assembly in New York on Sept. 24.
