Incheon International Airport recorded its greatest number of passengers (both arriving and departing) during the Lunar New Year holiday on Feb. 2. Data released on Feb. 8 reveals that 225,000 incoming and outgoing passengers used the airport’s facilities on that day, exceeding the previous record of 219,365, which was recorded on Aug. 5, 2018. The statistics show a growing trend of South Koreans leaving the country for the Lunar New Year, as opposed to the traditional practice of spending it at home with their families.
