Global K-pop star group BTS won the Top Social Artist prize at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards, held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on May 2. BTS has received the prize, which is awarded based on a group’s social and cultural impact, for the third consecutive year. The group also made history by winning the Top Duo/Group prize for the first time, defeating the likes of Maroon 5, Imagine Dragons, Panic at the Disco, and Dan + Shay.
