Roh, Bush agree to diplomatically resolve N.K. missile problem |
South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun and U.S. President George W. Bush spoke by telephone on Thursday morning (Seoul time) and agreed to resolve North Korea's missile problems by diplomatic means, Roh's spokesman said.
"President Roh and President Bush held telephone talks between 7:50 a.m. and 8 a.m. and agreed to make joint diplomatic efforts to solve the North Korean missile problems," spokesman Jung Tae-ho said.
"The two leaders also shared the view that North Korea's missile firings (on Wednesday) were a serious provocation and Seoul and Washington would resolve the problem through close consultations with China, Japan and Russia," Jung said.
