A security control center at the Pyeongchang Olympics is using USFK drones to provide surveillance and enhance security at the athletic venues. The operation will continue through the Paralympic Games scheduled for next month.
The drones take video footage from both inside and outside the athletic venues, and then transmit this footage in real time to the Olympics Security Control Center. “We have deployed a variety of cutting-edge technology, including thermal imaging equipment, drones, and bomb detection robots…these are a big held to the anti-terror and security operations of our troops,” said a statement released by the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff.
