The Pyeongchang Olympics featured athletes from six nations making their first appearance at the Winter Olympics. These nations consisted of Ecuador (cross-country skiing), Eritrea (alpine slalom and giant slalom), Kosovo (alpine skiing and slalom), Malaysia (alpine skiing and men’s figure skating), Nigeria (bobsled and skeleton), and Singapore (1500m women’s speed skating.)
