[Photo] Elementary school students join the I Am campaign for Syrian refugee children

The civil war in Syria, which began in Mar. 2011, has led to the deaths of over 200,000 children. As the conflict continues to rage, students at Seoul’s Shinmok elementary school gathered at Chunggyecheon Plaza on Mar. 15 to draw attention to the plight of the refugee children. The goal of the “I Am” movement is to spread awareness “like dandelion seeds” of the refugee children’s pain and suffering. (by Kim Seong-gwang, staff photographer)
