Chung Eui-young, the Blue House National Security Office Director, arrived in the US to begin a two-day visit on Apr. 11. Following his arrival, Chung spent two hours meeting with the White House National Security Council staff members. He is scheduled to meet with the new US National Security Advisor, John Bolton, on Apr. 13. Bolton has raised concerns among South Korean officials for his hawkish stance toward North Korea, which included publishing an article entitled, “The Legal Case for Striking North Korea First,” in the Wall Street Journal in February. The photo shows Chung meeting with China State Councillor Yang Jiechi at the Chosun Hotel in Seoul on Mar. 29. (Blue House Photo Pool)
