Laura Elizabeth Pohl is a multimedia director and photographer who focuses on humanitarian issues. She has published images of Korea as a photographer for the Associated Press. In her traveling exhibition, A Long Separation, Pohl focuses on the emotional strife experienced by Korean families who have been separated by the Korean War (1950-53). The exhibition will feature both photographs and 3D images. Pohl’s inspiration for the exhibition came in part from her uncle, Yoo Il-sang, who died at the age of 90 without having been reunited with his family after the war.
