Park Ji-su, center for the National South Korean basketball team, became the first South Korean player to enter the Women’s National Basketball League (WNBA) in 15 years. Park was drafted into the WNBA in April as part of the Las Vegas Aces. At only 19 years old, Park was announced on a list of 11 players that are expected to be active during the 2018 season. The last South Korean player to be drafted into the WNBA was Jung Sung-min, who was picked by the Seattle Storm in 2003.
