[Photo] Mexican musicians offer unique renditions of “Arirang”

Twelve teams of Mexico’s finest musicians gathered at the Metropolitan Theatre in Mexico City on Nov. 18 to determine who had the best rendition of the Korean folk tune “Arirang.” The Arirang Concour was held for the first time on this day, inspiring various interpretations of the Korean tune with a Latin twist. The top prize was taken by a seven-person band called the Colectivo Nacional Mexico. The photo shows the members of Colectivo Nacional Mexico after being announced as the contest’s winners.
