The Yomiuri Shimbun reported on Jan. 28 that the US plans on deploying a new anti-ICBM radar, the Homeland Defense Radar (HDR), in Japan to keep track of ICBMs from Russia, China and North Korea. The HDR system is designed to track ICBMS heading for the continental US as well as Hawaii and Guam.
