In response to concerns over the safety of the Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft after an Ethiopian Airlines crash, the South Korean government has prohibited the departure or arrival of any B737 Max 8 planes. The government has also banned all B737 Max 8 aircraft from entering South Korean airspace. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport issued a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) to airlines and relevant authorities of this ban on Mar. 14. A NOTAM is usually valid for up to three months. The South Korean government ordered that all South Korean airlines suspend flights of the suspected aircraft on Mar. 10.
