The US Defense Department is planning on diverting funds for operations in South Korea to finance the Trump administration’s wall along the US-Mexico border. On Mar. 20, CNN and Reuters published a 20-age Pentagon report sent to Congress detailing overseas projects that could be cut to fund the border wall. The report included the US budget for the Theater Air Naval Ground Operations (a.k.a. “Tango”) bunker in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, and a drone hangar at Kunsan Airbase in North Jeolla Province. The Pentagon is also seeking $7.2 billion in “emergency construction” funds to compensate for money repurposed for the wall.
