On Apr. 21, a wave of eight bombs exploded throughout the Sri Lankan capital of Colombo, killing 253 people and injuring more than 500. The bombs, targeting Christians, went off at sites including a church and a hotel on Easter Sunday. On Apr. 28, a week later, Seoul’s community of Sri Lankan immigrants gathered in front of Seoul Station to commemorate the victims and to denounce the acts of terrorism, holding signs and banners that expressed their views. Sri Lankan government authorities have since linked the attacks to a radical Islamic group with possible ties with ISIS.
