[Photo] IBC opening ceremony held for 2019 World Aquatics Championships in Gwangju

The steering committee for the 2019 World Aquatics Championships in Gwangju (chaired by Gwangju Mayor Lee Yong-seop) held its opening ceremony at Nambu University’s International Broadcasting Center (IBC) on June 27. The IBC will relay the competition’s main events to over 60 broadcasters around the world, reaching over 2 billion viewers. Lee commented that the committee was investing all its efforts ensure a “speedy and high-quality broadcast” of the events.
