Following a lackluster apology from Uniqlo’s Tokyo headquarters regarding CFO Takeshi Okazaki’s comments that the current boycott campaign in South Korea wouldn’t last long enough to affect long-term sales, the Japanese clothing brand has issued another apology to the South Korean public after credit card purchases from Korean purchases dropped as much as 26%. A growing number of South Korean consumers have joined a boycott campaign against Japanese products.
