[Photo] US tech industry asks S. Korea and Japan to resolve trade conflict

Five of the US’ biggest tech industry groups, including the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) and the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), has issued joint letters to South Korea and Japan resolve their trade dispute regarding Japan’s export controls on semiconductor materials. The SIA has members such as Qualcomm Inc. and Intel Corp., while NAM has 14,000 member companies. The letters were sent to South Korean Trade Minister Yoo Myung-hee and Japanese Economy Minister Hiroshige Seko.
