[Photo] Broadcasters given warning for airing controversial Baskin Robbins commercial

South Korean broadcasters under CJENM such as Mnet have been given a legal warning for airing a Baskin Robbins commercial that many have accused of sexualizing a young girl. The Korea Communications Standards Commission will make a final decision regarding the commercial on Aug. 26. On June 28, Baskin Robbins released a new ice cream called “Pink Star.” The commercial for its new product features closeup shots of a young girl’s brightly colored lips. As soon as the commercial was aired, people criticized it online for sexualizing a child model.
