According to figures released by the Japan Tourism Agency, South Korean tourism to Japan decreased in July by 7.6% this year compared to the same period last year. The drop in travel to Japan is seen as the result of a national boycott movement against Japanese products and travel to Japan. The number of foreign tourists in Japan last month increased over all by 5.6%, but the number of South Korean visitors decreased. The total number of South Korean tourists visiting Japan from January to July fell by 4.3% compared to last year. The photo shows Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture, a once popular spot for South Korean tourists.
