On Sept. 9, the US Coast Guard rescued four South Korean crew members who were trapped in the cargo ship Golden Ray, which capsized off the coast of Georgia, USA, the morning of the previous day. The four crew members were the last remaining personnel on the ship. The Golden Ray was en route to Baltimore when it capsized while carrying more than 4,000 vehicles. The Coast Guard initially rescued 13 Filipinos, six South Koreans, and the ship’s pilot on the day of the accident, but was pushed back by fire. The Coast Guard uploaded an official tweet on Sept. 9 confirming the rescue of the Golden Ray’s last remaining crew members, adding that they were being given the necessary medical attention.
