During his summit with South Korean President Moon Jae-in, US President Donald Trump said that South Korea is a big customer when it comes to purchases of US weapons and military equipment, to which Moon responded by laying out in detail three years of South Korean purchases of US weaponry, the Blue House revealed. South Korean is the third largest importer of US weaponry, beat only by Saudi Arabia and Australia. During the past 10 years (2008-2017), South Korea has spent US$6.73 billion on US weaponry.
