[Photo] Domestic combat helicopter to debut next November

A light arms combat helicopter (LAH) that was developed as a result of domestic South Korean technology will be rolled out next November. Korea Aerospace Industries Co., Ltd. (KAI) held a ‘Comprehensive Design Review’ (CDR) meeting to finalize the design of the new helicopter at its Sacheon Headquarters in South Gyeongsang Province from Nov. 28-Dec. 1. The new helicopter is designed to replace the aging Army attack helicopters 500MD and AH-1S. The development phase of the project began in June 2015 and was completed in August of last year.
