[Photo] President Moon meets with citizens on “Train 1”

President Moon Jae-in pitched in to help promote the Pyeongchang Olympics by hosting 20 citizens who had won the “Hello Pyeongchang” contest on a private ride from Seoul to Gangneung abroad the newly constructed KTX line. Moon treated the contest winners to a lunch of Gangwon rice and vegetables in the private quarters of “Train 1.” It was the first instance of private citizens being allowed inside the presidential train since it was built in 1979. The new KTX line is scheduled to open on Dec. 22, and can travel from Seoul Station to Gangneung in less than two hours. (Blue House Photo Pool)
