After taking a survey in South Chungcheong and North Jeolla provinces, the Institute announced on Jan. 12 that 24 birds were found nationwide. The stork park in Yeasan, South Chungcheong Province has released 21 birds into the wild since it opened in September 2015, and the birds can migrate as far as China, Russia and Japan before returning to Korea with other members of their flock.
